In a significant political development, Trinamool Congress candidates Mamata Bala Thakur and Sagarika Ghosh formally filed their nomination papers for the Rajya Sabha. The event saw the presence of prominent party members, including MP Derek O'Brien, Rajya Sabha candidate Sushmita Dev, and Nadimul Haq. Expressing gratitude to Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee after completing the nomination process, both Thakur and Ghosh pledged to represent the voice of West Bengal under the leadership of Abhishek Banerjee.
Sagarika Ghosh affirmed her commitment to actively participate in movements against funds withheld by the Central Government, focusing on advocating for the interests of West Bengal.
